The 1899 silver dollar with no mint mark is worth around $175 in very fine condition. In extremely fine condition the value is around $185. In uncirculated condition the price is around $260 for coins with an MS 60 grade. Uncirculated coins with a grade of MS 65 can sell for around $700. Jul 31, 2019 Description & Analysis With a relatively low mintage of only 330,000 coins, the 1899 Morgan commands a large premium in all grades. However, there are plenty of gem examples available, which explains its affordable price in that grade compared to other semi-keys in the series. The 1899 was the second-lowest Morgan dollar mintage by the Philadelphia Mint. The coin was a semi-key date coin until the 1950s, as few had been released into circulation. Curiously enough, when mint bags of coins began appearing, they showed up in the western US instead of the East Coast. 1899 One Dollar Bill Silver Certificate.
